An Introduction

Our dances were collected by the late Dave Jones, and we take pride in keeping this rich tradition alive. Many of our dances originate from local towns and villages such as Upton upon Severn and Dilwyn.

Ledbury Morris is a vibrant mixed Border Morris side, dancing traditional Border dances from Herefordshire, Worcestershire, and Shropshire.

Our distinctive kit includes tatter jackets, bells on boots, and black top hats, reflecting the spirit of Border Morris. Founded in January 2018, Ledbury Morris performs with energy and enthusiasm.

Border Morris is known for its single and double stepping, bold costumes, and spirited performances. Traditionally performed during the winter months, our repertoire has evolved to encompass a wide range of occasions throughout the year. From the ancient customs of wassailing and May Day celebrations to modern-day festivals and community events, Ledbury Morris is at the forefront of bringing lively entertainment to audiences whilst having fun along the way.

We invite you to join us and experience the energy and sheer fun of a Ledbury Morris performance – it’s an experience you won’t forget!
